“Guitarp”

Final project for the Digital Musical Instrument Design class at Northwestern University. 

The Guitarp is a four voice sequencer which uses soft pots to control pitch values, and an FSR to control delay wet/dry signal. Each soft pot corresponds to the first four strings on a guitar, tuned to E, A, D, and G. It uses Arduino for serial communication with Max/MSP. Max handles all of the audio processing, as well as scaling the soft pot data into an interface similar to the neck of a guitar. The black marks on the side of the instrument represent guitar frets.
